IRVINE, Calif. (June 3, 2025) — University of California, Irvine School of Law Chancellor’s Professor of Law Christopher R. Leslie, who directs the UC Irvine Law Competition, Antitrust Law, and Innovation Forum, was recognized at the 2025 Jerry S. Cohen Awards for Antitrust Scholarship, receiving double honors for his recent scholarship on antitrust law. The awards were presented during the gala luncheon at the American Antitrust Institute’s 26th Annual Policy Conference on May 29, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
“The UC Irvine Law community congratulates Professor Leslie on receiving double recognition for his recent scholarship,” said Dean and Chancellor’s Professor of Law Austen Parrish. “His recognition is not a surprise. He’s one of the nation’s leading antitrust scholars, and Professor Leslie brings that same insight and rigor into the classroom, inspiring our students to think critically about antitrust doctrine and policy.”
Professor Leslie was awarded Best Antitrust Publication of 2024 on Burdens of Proof for his article, “False Analogies to Predatory Pricing,” 172 University of Pennsylvania Law Review 329 (2024). He also was awarded Best Antitrust Publication of 2024 on Non-Price Effects for his article, “Pharmacy Deserts and Antitrust Law,” 104 Boston University Law Review 1593 (2024).
The annual Cohen Awards are administered by the law firm Cohen Milstein. Established in memory of the firm’s late founder Jerry S. Cohen — an influential antitrust litigator and writer — the awards honor scholarly work that advances economic justice, promotes fair market competition, and reflects an understanding of the social and human impacts of economic power.
